Well, I originally planned to call it “February favourities”, but I reached the point it’d make more sense to describe it just as a bunch of stuff that I particularly liked recently and that I wanted to share with you. I hope you’ll enjoy it! 😄
Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water.
It’s not exactly a recent crush, but more of “love from the first sight” kind of thing. What I’m really doing here is using this post as an excuse to write about it. It is by far one of my favorite cleansing products ever. I recommend it to everyone, from my colleagues to my Mom. I love how it absorbs the dirt and makeup rather than just smear it all over your face. My skin really feels cleaner and fresher after using it. And, what’s always a big pro, it’s extra gentle with the eyes (I’ve tried lots of products but struggled to find a suitable makeup remover). It’s an amazing base for further cleansing, but sometimes, when I’m really tired, I just use this one (and it feels good enough). If you haven’t tried it yet, I really encourage you to give it a go.
Soap&Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner
It’s kind of a funny story (well, at least it makes me smile) because I haven’t been using any eyeliner until quite recently. Some time ago, I discovered Laura Lee’s youtube tutorials, which inspired me to improve my skills. Since then, I’ve tested loads of eyeliners, but none of them satisfied me completely. And my everyday eye makeup depends on how much spare time do I have before leaving because the wings were never even (or at least decent), and I have to wipe it off, try again, swipe off, apply again…it was always taking ages! Then I bought the S&G eyeliner and what can I say, it really saved me a lot of time! First of all, I find eyeliner pens most comfortable to use. And this one just glides so smoothly on the eyelid. The marker tip, as promised, really does create either a natural or bold line. The color is intensive and lasts very long. And I can finally go out with a cat-eye make up- as I’ve never had enough courage to wear it in public! If you’re still looking for a perfect eyeliner, I recommend this one with all my heart.
No7 Makeup Brush Cleaner
When it comes to bargains, I’m a lost cause. I love Boots’ No7 vouchers so much that I feel an urge to spend them every time (luckily for my wallet, they’ve just expired). I bought once an eyelash curler, tried it, failed miserably, and never took it out of the box again (even though my boyfriend tried to demonstrate to me how to use it properly). But this little gadget is quite useful. I tend to deep-cleanse my brushes regularly (I can imagine dirt and bacterias pretty picturesquely), but this cleaner comes in handy in the meantime. You just squeeze a bit of product on a tissue or paper towel and sweep the brush across it. Easy as that. I wouldn’t buy it if it wasn’t on offer, but for that price…why not?
OGX anti- breakage keratin oil shampoo & reviving oil
I’m so happy that I decided to try them out. The effects are visible after a relatively short time. Both products contain keratin proteins and argan oil that help to resist breakage. They keep my hair smooth and moisturized. It also seems stronger and definitely, there’s less of it left on a hairbrush after brushing. The smell is wonderful and I like the packaging. I also like that you can use the oil either on wet or dry hair (without making it greasy). I think I’ll try much more of OGX products in the future (they’ve recently introduced some new lines, and I think I’ll like them as well)..
Soap&Glory Clean, Girls Body Wash and The Daily Smooth Body Lotion
I have to admit, I love almost every single S&G product, but it wasn’t until February when I bought this body lotion that instantly became my favorite. Leaves my skin perfectly smooth, hydrated, and nourished, and the effect lasts long after application. I like to use both products together- the wash also has a built-in moisturizing matrix (however the word “matrix” in reference to a body wash seemed a bit scary to me), but together they create a perfect combination for a little pampering session. And the scent is just incredible! (Mist You Madly definitely is my no1 option amongst them all).
So that’s it- my recent beauty discoveries. Have you tried any of them? Do you like it? And, last but not least, I know that the pictures’ quality is not the best, but I still live without any laptop, so I write posts manually and rewrite them on my phone (or on my brother’s computer).
Thank you for reading! ❤
