I haven’t been very active lately, but I finally got a transfer I’ve been waiting for since autumn! I’m so glad, the job is more challenging yet it doesn’t make me mentally tired, so at the end of the day it is a very positive change. But still, unfortunately, when I come back home I’m physically exhausted and on the usual basis, it makes me happy when I still have the energy to cook some dinner. Not to mention following all steps of my ideal night time skin care routine. Let me add to that the fact that I am an extremely lazy person and, honestly speaking, sometimes I skip most of the steps, just brush the teeth, wash the face and go to bed. Which neither I nor my skin are happy about the following morning. Or mornings (guilty). What is helping me then in a desperate attempt to rescue my face? Face mask.
No7 Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask.
I absolutely love it. Every bit of it, starting with how nice it looks in the package (it swirls!). The effect unfortunately disappears after you start using the product, but still, I have to admit I’m impressed. I guess I just like nice things! The mask is dedicated to dry or very dry skin. It hydrates and nourishes the skin leaving it smooth, soft and bright. I don’t know whether it’s my imagination or not, but I feel the difference instantly after application as my skin seems to drink it rather then just absorbing. It is recommended to leave it for three minutes (then tissue off and rinse away) or, eventually, for a more intensive treat, to leave up to 10 minutes. Well, I like to wait even longer, and any excess I simply massage in until it sinks in completely. I just don’t wanna waste the tiniest bit of it! The masks has a creamy consistency and smells lovely. It’s hypo- allergenic and suitable even for sensitive skin. Well, I have to be extremely careful with any new product, as I tend to get irritations quite often. Sometimes I have an allergic reaction after trying out the mildest, simplest moisturizer. But I’m glad to say that for me this mask is safe to use and the effects are amazing. So I strongly recommend it to anyone with dry skin. The only flaw might be a price, but luckily for my wallet Boots has those Β£5 off for No7 vouchers quite often.
Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask.
Well, I love the concept of tissue masks, as they are so easy to use. All it takes is to open the box, apply the mask and then just relax and wait while your skin absorbs the beneficial ingredients. This one is infused with a hydrating serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Pomegranate Extract to help rehydrate, revitalise and smoothen your skin, all in 15 minutes. I have to admit I haven’t tried the whole Moisture Bomb range (yet), but this little helper is an absolute gem! It’s very easy to apply and to remove (the only thing I don’t get are those two extra holes in the middle of my cheeks… are they suppose to be for the ears?). Plus I still find the whole process funny, I think I look hilarious, I make stupid faces and I take a lots of pictures… every time. And the effects? Well, it’s definitely working for me. My face is visibly softer and smoother. It also looks and feels moisturised. Dry patches and tightness on face seem to disappear. It is very kind to skin, I don’t experience any stinging or irritation. I use it every week as a part of my little Sunday ritual or whenever I feel like my skin is needing that extra bit of help. It really is one of my favourite products. And I have to mention that it is extremely affordable. What’s not to love? π
